The Second Eclipse Is Coming!

The first eclipse of my life time was in 2017. A solo eclipse in the middle of the day. There were few clouds that August morning cleared away making the effects of the sun rays being blocked by the moon. At the full point, it felt like dusk and the effect was an eery sensation. If you didn’t experience it, imagine hearing the early evening cricket sounds and bird chirps dwindling off.

The second eclipse is Monday, April 8, 2024 beginning 1:27 pm in the east, 12:27pm central, and 10:27 am on the west coast.

If you are planning on looking up at the sun, you will need eye protection for you and your littles. I have a few links here to help you find the path and supplies. Your nearest planetarium will be able to help you find some of the special glasses to protect vision.
